So I was PvPing with my priest in Hellfire last night and Kazzak was yelling up a storm... I've tanked that s.o.b. a few times so I know exactly what that means (wiiiiiipe!), and decided to log on my warrior and go see what the ruckus was all about.
A few minutes later I was flying high above a Horde raid regrouping for what I assumed to be another of many attempts on the beast. Things seemed to be going well for them and Kazzak's HP was dropping pretty quickly. Good for them. Confident that the horde would be too busy raiding to mess with me, I flew in for a closer look.
Next thing I know he shoots out a burst of shadowbolts... I'd eaten a few earlier but it didn't really make much of a dent in my T4 Prot Warrior so I wasn't concerned, the difference this time was that I got dismounted with about 30-40% health. I fell to my death, and promptly ruined the poor horde's attempt (for those of you that haven't had the pleasure of meeting Kazzak, he's a world boss in Hellfire that gains something like 150k HP upon killing someone).
Now I'd like to make it clear that this was in no way intentional. I'll be the first to admit that I can be a total bastard when it comes to horde. I'll also admit that once I realized what I'd done, I had quick flashes of getting camped in STV and very briefly considered nekked-night-elf-bombing their next attempt, but even I am not that evil. I got back to my body, mounted up, and flew off to other misadventures.
I opened a ticket reporting what I believe to be a pretty serious bug (why oh why do people outside of the raid trigger this effect!?) but got nothing but a generic "we're looking into it" kind of response.
So! Next time you're raiding Kazzak, be sure to watch for naked people circling above you. I fully understand that posting this could make it more of an issue, but judging by the GMs response I concluded that most people here wouldn't exploit it and exposure is probably the quickest path to resolution (that and I'm pretty bored and work and this gave me something to do).
It's not a bug. That's how things are with a contested world spawn raid boss. If deaths from people outside the raid, you could simply take anyone who doesn't need the loot, remove them from the raid, and remove any risk of any healing from their deaths.
If you want to screw with a Kazzak raid without getting yourself a repair bill, pop your Barov Peasant Caller trinket, let Kazzak kill your 3 servents, and then run away. Best part is, it's very hard to trace it to you because you didn't die.
